BRYONY MCLEOD-BROWN

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born and raised in Suffolk, Bryony McLeod-Brown takes inspiration from the beauty of her local surroundings to inspire her mixed media landscapes. She previously exhibited her acrylic portraiture paintings in London and local Art galleries but has since focused her work on abstract landscapes.
Bryony studied an Art Foundation course, alongside her work in practical design, where she gained valuable experience in Chinese Lacquering, Upholstery and Picture Framing. She now works for the NHS, whilst continuing to paint her landscapes.
Her work comprises of Indian ink, batik wax and acrylic paint onto board to create texture though layers. Colour is taken from the environment and achieved with delicate mark-making of the ink, resistant against the wax. Her work are all originals and finished with hand-painted frames, made by herself.
